Harry King’s Bio

A Professional Speaker Who Teaches Word-of-Mouth and Referral Based Marketing.

After graduating from high school, Harry King joined the Air Force as a Red Beret in the Para-Rescue Forces (which is the Air Force equivalent of a Navy Seal). Harry has 2 degrees in education, one in Special Education the other in Elementary Education. Since graduating, he has been in sales and sales management for more than 20 years, In sales, Harry specialized in business to business consultative sales to professionals and executives.

Harry King has worked for several national and international companies in the management consulting, family recreation, mortgage and financing and online advertising industries. As the Sales Manager for the George S. May International consulting firm, he increased the company’s sales in New York state from 2 million, to over 12 million annually. At a family recreation company, he created and then quadrupled a summer program for businesses. Harry spent many years with Verizon SuperPages.com, where he was the number one salesperson worldwide at 526% to quota. He later worked with several other internet companies, most notably, Findlaw.com and ThomasNet.com. In addition, he spent many years as the ‘MaryKay–Man’, one of only a few men in the army of women that sell the number one brand of skin care and cosmetics in the country.

Harry King has been a coach, volunteer and an official for the Special Olympics for 25 years. He has been a volunteer with Junior Achievement, and was nominated in 2003 for the Junior Achievement National Volunteer of the Year Award. He is a recipient of the national ‘Volunteer Excellence Award’ for the largest fraternity in the world, Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Harry is the Vice President on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization “Working for Downtown”. He volunteers with two dog rescue organizations, and is an active of foster home for Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue and Buffalo Greyhound Association. Currently Harry is restoring a 1912 Arts and Crafts four square home in North Buffalo. When he has a free moment he loves to cook (mostly because he gets to play with knives!).
